Performer, producer & teacher...Becky Lou has been starting fires in the nation’s hearts (...and pants) since her burlesque back in 2008 with her sensational combination of smouldering classic tease and irreverent comedy!
One of Victoria’s most in-demand hoochie-coochers, Becky Lou has been described as 'one of the high priestesses of Australian burlesque'. The debut of her solo show 'Shake' at the 2015 Perth Fringe World and Adelaide Fringe Festivals revealed her skill as a storyteller and garnered her a string of four and five star reviews, as well as a nomination for Fringe World’s Best Cabaret. It was during her time as a resident performer at Fitzroy's now legendary Burlesque Bar that she earned her chops as a striptease artist and became one of the most in demand performers at the height of Australia's burlesque revival. Winner of the Miss Burlesque Victoria 2013 title, she was awarded the Australian burlesque industry voted 'People's Choice - Victoria' at the 2013 Bustie Awards and included in 21st Century Burlesque Magazine's list of Top 10 Australian Burlesque Personalities. She has toured throughout Australia and the USA and conquered the Montreal Fringe Festival in 2016.
She has been part of many of the country’s most memorable burlesque events, including Gorelesque, Perth Burlesque Festival and the Big Band Burlesque Show for Adelaide Fringe. She has taught classic burlesque striptease for Bottoms Up Burlesque School and is a principal teacher at The Australian Burlesque School.
