Lyra has been dancing professionally around the world for more than 15 years. She shimmied her way into the burlesque scene in 2010 & has been dazzling sold out crowds ever since. She has graced stages both nationally & internationally and has performed at festivals including The Australian Burlesque Festival, The Arizona Burlesque Festival, The Las Vegas Burlesque Festival, Burlypicks California, The Hollywood Burlesque Festival and The Viva Las Vegas Showcase. An accepted member of the LA burlesque community (and lovingly referred to as 'The Saucy Aussie'), Lyra’s style is honed from performing alongside burlesque stars such as Dirty Martini and Audrey Deluxe and learning from the USA legends of the 60s revival.
Lyra is also an established producer having produced her first show "Burlesque Beauties" at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2010. Her show "Blondes Revue" sold out its five-month season in Hollywood with performers including Vegas burlesque star, Valerie Stunning, comedian Wil Anderson and Burlesque Hall of Fame King Matt Finish.
A series of sparkly accolades Miss Lyra La Belle has a whole set of sparkly accolades under her corset; including Miss Burlesque Adelaide & the coveted title of Miss Hollywood Burlesque Starlet 2015-2017.
Lyra's latest undertaking is her brand new burlesque school, 'Hot Sauce Burlesque' in Adelaide where she specialises in teaching her unique hollywood inspired style of burlesque alongside her dancer hubby, Chris Asimos. Lyra's other profession is arts and entertainment publicity, working predominantly in comedy. Her style has been honed from her experience working with comedians and is a surprising mix of classic and neo. Lyra never takes herself too seriously and believes burlesque is about self-expression, fun and owning your sensuality.
